The department offers over 45 different business leadership programmes in areas such as directorship, management and leadership, project management, business development, contract negotiation, organisational strategy, business law and management coaching. The Executive Education division alone are on target to acheive £2 million of revenue this financial year and are looking to expand its team due to recent success.

The Business Development Executive will be responsible for generating revenue for the Executive Education division

Duties and Responsibilities

The duties and responsibilities which have to be fulfilled by the Business Development Executive are as follows:

  • Identify relevant target audience to market products and services effectively by utilizing database and acquiring new data where necessary.
  • Understand the portfolio of training programmes we offer and their key benefits
  • Accurately build and manage a pipeline of enquiries to convert to deals
  • Understand the particular market they are operating in to ensure they can articulate the training programmes they are selling effectively.
  • Use the phone to sell the benefits of attending the training programmes
  • Make use of various consultative sales techniques
  • Sell the leadership training programmes, and managing key accounts
  • Be aware the commercial performance of their particular training programmes and work with the Director of Executive Education to identify new opportunities in the market
  • Comply with relevant data protection guidelines when generating business
  • Maintain and develop relationships with customers to encourage repeat business
  • Ensure the company systems are used correctly in all stages to make bookings and store customer details
  • Acts in good faith at all times to ensure the reputation of the company is upheld

  • The successful candidate should have strong selling skills and be able to articulate themselves well
  • The successful candidate should be able to work and cope with a face paced environment
  • The successful candidate needs to be self-motivated, with the ability to meet sales targets
  • The successful canidiate should have the flexibility to change and adapt according to different situations
  • The successful canidiate should possess the appropriate interpersonal skills, so should have a  persistent and supportive attitude
  • The successful candidate should be an excellent communicator with all levels of professionals, both verbally and written
  • The successful canidiate should have a focus on customer excellence, taking pride in their work
  • The successful canididtae should have the appetite to understand the programmes, and suggest ways we can improve the experience of our clients
