Based At: Field based with regular visits to Head Office in Lincoln required
Salary: £25,000 – £30,000 with £5,000 car allowance and Bonus up to £15,000 per annum.

Overview of Role:
This is an exciting opportunity to join a fairly new company which is fully supported by an established company. You will be part of a new, dynamic sales team that will quickly see the company grow into the market leading position.
We are looking for a tenacious, energetic and focused Business Development Manager to develop new business within an agreed geographical area within Liverpool. You will generate your own meetings and engage with Head Teachers and SENDCO’s in educational establishments to sell bespoke software to support their needs. You will take ownership of the process from booking the meetings to installation and be on hand following end of trial.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Must arrange your own appointments and generate sales leads following through with sales face to face
To present the features and benefits of the software in formats appropriate to the situation and meeting environment
To communicate effectively in delivering the key features and benefits of the software
To gain agreement in writing from the decision maker to allow the sale to be processed
To deliver after-sales care and on-going support
To manage own workload and ensure records are updated
Ensuring the Company Values within the presentations and all marketing literature are adhered to
To attend head office meetings when requested or field meetings as planned by the Sales Director
Additional Duties:
To complete individual call reports after each customer meeting
To complete and update weekly a database of all key contacts
To communicate in a timely manner all correspondence as required by your line manager
To prepare and present updates on your key business developments and ongoing projects at the sales meeting as arranged
To complete any reports for the Sales Director as required
To communicate to your line manager any competitor activity discovered
To recommend changes to the Sales Director that will improve both quality and efficiency of the Company’s operation and act accordingly
To liaise in a mutually effective manner with all other departments to ensure that business in maximised through the efforts of his/her operation
Deal with all queries/problems promptly and effectively in the appropriate manner
To abide by all company rules, regulations and procedures
To ensure that all company equipment and materials is kept in a secure, clean environment
Person Specification:
Previous experience of selling into the education or public sector and/or software sales would be advantageous. No specific experience of this
product is required as you will be fully trained before attending your first meeting. (Please note the first month of employment will be training atthe Head Office in Lincoln)
