Operations Maintenance Co-Ordinator



What you can expect:

As an Operational Maintenance Coordinator, you will provide operations input into all aspects of maintenance work to support it’s planning and execution.

o A key part of your role will be assigning correct priority to work orders, providing operational input into the development of quality maintenance plans and owning the operational elements of developing and executing maintenance schedules.

o You will coach Shift Managers and Production Teams in the Maintenance Work Cycle, including raising notifications and use of the computerised maintenance management system (SAP PM).

o Also, you will provide operational management for significant planned maintenance activities, modifications and small projects, acting as Management of Change Coordinator for maintenance related plant changes.

o Furthermore, you will provide the maintenance planning team with data and operational input for maintenance work plan development and feedback.

o You will ensure all EHS (risk control system) plans and documentation are in place or maintenance activities and small projects.

o You will be a key member of the operational support team for the area. You will work with the other team members to provide operational support for projects and the production teams, deputising for other members of the team when required.


What we expect

o You have gained 2 or more years’ experience within a chemical or other high-volume manufacturing environment.

Ideally you are qualified to HNC or degree level in Chemistry, Engineering or a relevant Manufacturing discipline or equivalent. We also encourage applications from candidates who have an equivalent skill set gained from previous work experience.

o A strong HSE focus with experience in facilitating the application of HSE risk control systems (e.g. coordinating management of change, permit to work, task risk assessment, COSHH assessment, etc.) is required for this role.



o You possess good communication skills and are comfortable and competent in information technology skills.

o Finally, you ideally have experience of using SAP PM or a similar computerised maintenance management system.





Remuneration is paid in twelve equal monthly instalments direct to your bank account on the 25th of each month

Basic salaries are reviewed annually usually in April.

Variable pay/bonus

The Company operates a remuneration package which includes Variable Pay.

The Target Variable Pay amount is set each year for each job grade and is communicated on an annual basis.  The variable pay year runs from 1 January to 31 December. The actual variable pay is linked to Company and Employee performance and is normally paid as part of the April payroll, in the year following the variable pay year.



Overtime, if applicable, will be paid on the basis set out in the Overtime Policy.



Hours of Work

37 hours per week.

Standard office hours of work are Monday-Thursday 08.45-17.15, Friday 08.45-16.45 which includes an unpaid lunch break of 1 hour per day.

Standard Non-Office hours of work are Monday-Thursday 8.00-16.30, Friday 8.00-16.00 which includes an unpaid lunch break of 1 hour per day.



Annual paid holiday entitlement is 25 days plus the 8 UK official Bank Holidays provided you have completed a year’s service.  The holiday year runs from 1 January to 31 December.
